Position Title: President & CEO
Employment Status: Full-Time/Exempt
Reports to: MHAC Board of Directors
Compensation: Salary depends on experience. Benefits included.
Board Governance and Development:
- In collaboration with the Board, is responsible for leading MHAC
in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission and ensures the
organization reaches its strategic goals.
- Communicates effectively with the Board and supports the Board in
fulfilling its governance functions and due diligence responsibilities.
- In partnership with the Board, actively
recruits potential Board members, assists with onboarding new members and
provides support to Board committees.
Financial Performance, Management and Administration:
- Responsible for the ongoing fiscal management and fiscal integrity
of MHAC, including the submission to the Board of a proposed annual budget and
monthly financial statements.
- Oversees and implements both human and financial resources to
ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriate and that programmatic
and contractual obligations are met.
- Works with the Board to fundraise and develop other resources
necessary to support MHAC’s mission.
- Assures the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and
monitors compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education & Experience:
An advanced degree in Business Administration, Social Work or related
field is preferred. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in
human services or related field is required along with 3 years of experience
in a senior management position in a human services organization.
- Competencies: Demonstrated critical competencies in four broad
categories: commitment to results, business savvy, leading change, and
motivating. Excellent writing
and public speaking skills are a must.
Skills: Be able to work effectively with
people from all segments of the community. The successful candidate will
be comfortable with diversity and respectful of a wide range of cultures,
faiths, beliefs and experiences.
