| Transition Age Youth Empowerment Project |
|
The Mental Health Association in California has created a project called The Transition Age Youth Empowerment Project. The mission is to empower and inspire youth who are a part of the Transitional Age Youth community to create positive change in the mental health system. There are a plethora of transitional age youth programs in California. Almost all of the programs are run by adults and mainly focus on areas other than mental health. After receiving many surveys back from youth organizations, only one or two dabble in the area of mental health. This project will specifically focus on transitional age youth with mental health needs. The program will be youth driven and youth run. Please review the links in this section which provide more information and details about this exciting new project.
